Great vid man, I really appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you like it. I'll look into keybinds and either an online leaderboard or a personal one at least. I'll let you know when it's updated.
* too easy for too long, by the time I started to need to pay attention I was already out of it
* the blocks _almost_ fell in time with the music, which was a little disconcerting. sort of an explicit sync would have helped
* it seems like an ideal strategy would be to just circle the arrow keys really fast. Adding mechanics that didn't make that true, like a "blocked just in time" combo, would have made it more compelling to play
Thanks for the recording, I have made spawntimes static and increased the rate they speed up.
I've worked with timing it to the music but it never felt quite right.
as for mechanics, I thought of having a block meter which depleted when you held a key to block, and restored while not blocking, but I decided that I wanted to leave the game simple and light.

Cute, cute game! I included it in my AGDG Halloween Game Jam compilation video series, if you'd like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/Je_8vL8_0AU

I did a little video/first impression thing about your game.

Pretty cute, the music is catchy, and it runs perfectly under WINE on linux.
Alloyed brings up from strong points, but it's a competent game.
Thanks for the feedback, good to hear it works in WINE.
